The ScanMaker 3600 provides affordable 42-bit scanning via Microtek's Dual Optimization Technology (DOT). DOT allows an image to be sampled at 42 bits per pixel then optimized twice to remove image noise, resulting in more accurate 36-bit color fidelity and range. The ScanMaker 3600 features a letter-size scanning bed, USB interface for true plug-and-play installation, complete software for scanning, image editing and OCR, and the Microtek ScanWizard 5 and the ScanWizard 5 Assistant companion utility.
